This is a seasonal management position at our farm that goes from mid-June through October. Must be available weekends and holidays. Cherry season in July and apple season in September and October are the busiest times for pick-your-own (PYO).

 

We're looking for one or two motivated and detail-oriented farm store managers to be responsible for the overall store and PYO operation. Responsibilities also include managing PYO staff.

 

Your schedule will be somewhat flexible.

PYO is closed every Tuesday throughout the season. It's open from 8am-5pm Wednesday through Monday June-August. In September & October, PYO is open 9am-5pm Wed-Mon.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customer satisfaction through friendly, helpful service

• Take inventory weekly and place orders for more products

• Maintain a clean and organized store, as well as visually appealing merchandise displays

• Ensure the orchard is kept clean & signs are updated weekly

• Help train new staff

• Create staff schedule

• Keep owners updated about buying trends, customer needs/feedback, staff performance

• Deal with any issues that arise from customers & staff (complaints, grievances, etc)

• Be an example of hard work and great customer service

• Additional manager duties as needed

• Feel free to propose new ideas to improve PYO, farm store, & customer experience!

 

Skills

• Experience as a retail manager is a plus, but not required

• Previous customer service experience required

• Customer management skills

• Good communication

• Experience with Square POS is a plus, but not required
